Maya Business is the evolution of PayMaya Business, reimagined to meet the growing needs of SMEs.
Following the Maya rebrand, we focused on updating the visual language across all touch points, from foundational elements like typography and icons to the overall tone and clarity of copy. More critically, we integrated new banking features such as loans and deposit accounts, ensuring the experience aligned with the refreshed brand identity.

At the heart of this effort was a complete overhaul of the legacy design library. We built a robust, scalable design system from the ground up, enabling product teams, designers, and engineers to work more efficiently and cohesively.
It resulted to reduced design-to-development handoff time, increased design consistency across products, accelerated product rollout speed and empowered cross-functional teams to ship with greater alignment and velocity
This system now serves as the foundation for delivering cohesive, high-quality experiences at scale—ensuring every interaction feels intentional, unified, and on-brand.
While guiding the broader design direction, I remained deeply involved in crafting critical flows, building design systems, and solving complex interaction challenges.
I collaborated closely with cross-functional stakeholders influencing product direction and uncover opportunities through user insights and data.
This hands-on approach allowed me to stay grounded in user behavior and continuously improve the merchant experience across touchpoints—from daily operations to growth-driving tools like loans, dashboards, and analytics.

By promoting clear direction, alignment, and cross-functional collaboration, It empowers the team to stay focused and self-driven. This system allows designers to be leaders themselves that can independently refine solutions, explore multiple iterations, and deliver well-tested, thoughtful designs.
