Maya Business is the evolution of PayMaya Business that houses several touchpoints such as the Maya Business App, Maya Checkout, POS Terminal, and Business Manager.
The team crafted experiences strategically tailored to different business scales of Maya’s customers.

After the Maya rebrand, we refreshed the entire visual language—typography, icons, copy tone—while integrating new banking features like loans and deposits. Central to this was building a robust, scalable design system that replaced the legacy library, empowering teams to work faster and more consistently. The result: reduced design-to-dev handoff, faster rollouts, and unified, high-quality experiences at scale—ensuring every interaction feels intentional and on-brand.
While guiding the broader design direction, I remained deeply involved in crafting critical flows, building design systems, and solving complex interaction challenges.
I collaborated closely with cross-functional stakeholders influencing product direction and uncover opportunities through user insights and data.
This hands-on approach allowed me to stay grounded in user behavior and continuously improve the merchant experience across touchpoints—from daily operations to growth-driving tools like loans, dashboards, and analytics.

A key part of my role is creating an environment where designers thrive. I actively identify and remove blockers, providing daily guidance, and fostering a culture of feedback and growth. I lead by example, modeling strong process and high-quality craft.
By promoting clear direction, alignment, and cross-functional collaboration, It empowers the team to stay focused and self-driven. This system allows designers to be leaders themselves that can independently refine solutions, explore multiple iterations, and deliver well-tested, thoughtful designs.
