Echoes 2000-2002

Multimedia Design Editor for our College Official Yearbook for 2 years.

I discovered my passion for visual design during my college years. At the time, I had little knowledge of digital graphics or design software, all I knew was that I enjoyed translating the ideas and concepts in my mind onto a digital canvas.

In 1999, I joined ECHOES, our college’s official yearbook publication. It was there that I was first exposed to and trained in using tools like Adobe Photoshop, Pagemaker, and other graphic design software popular at the time.

During my senior year, I designed my first logo after noticing that the organization lacked one. Using CorelDRAW 9, I created a logo that, to my delight, is still being used by future editors as the publication’s official emblem.

Our primary goal was to release the yearbook in time for graduation, and for two consecutive years, we successfully achieved this. Through this experience, I gained invaluable hands-on knowledge of the entire publication process — from planning, conceptualization, design, and execution to editing, printing, packaging, launch, and delivery.
