Year

2004

For a year I focused on as a senior designer in a publication studio specializing in yearbooks, I honed a unique blend of editorial design, storytelling, and print production expertise.

My role went beyond layout design, it was about capturing the identity and spirit of an academic year through compelling visual narratives. From conceptualizing cover designs to crafting page layouts that balanced photos, typography, and written content, I ensured every page told a cohesive and emotionally resonant story.

I worked closely with editors, photographers, and production teams to deliver polished, print-ready files under tight academic deadlines, maintaining both creative quality and technical precision.

As a designer in the yearbook publication space required a mastery of layout systems, typographic hierarchy, and an eye for content pacing across multi-page formats.

Equally critical was my ability to manage high volumes of visual assets and ensure consistency in style while allowing room for creative variation.

Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator was essential, but so was a deep understanding of prepress requirements, CMYK color workflows, and print specifications.

This role demanded not only strong design instincts but also meticulous attention to detail, collaborative communication, and the ability to creatively interpret the themes and tone of each school’s unique identity.
